Hyde Park Village is a major shopping destination in South Tampa. In addition to a wide selection of stores and eateries, this mall also features an upscale movie theater, a full-service salon, and several other amenities. Head to International Plaza and Bay Street to find the latest in fashion. This indoor shopping center features numerous well-known retailers, luxury boutiques, and an interesting combination of casual and fine dining establishments. 
 
If you’re hungry, you’ll have no shortage of exceptional restaurants to choose from in South Tampa. Bern's Steak House is a must-try among the many great dining options. Famous for its excellent service, delicious food, and meticulous attention to detail, this steakhouse has been around since 1956. 
 
Ichicoro Ramen, which opened in 2015, brought a big-city atmosphere and taste to South Tampa. For example, the Chasyu Pork Belly Bowl is an out-of-the-ordinary take on conventional ramen that features ingredients from Florida. Rocca is a fine dining establishment known for its friendly service and sophisticated menu. The most popular dish at Rocca is the mozzarella cart, where servers pluck and stretch ropes of the cheese tableside to make a fresh Caprese salad. 
 
If you’re looking for a fantastic happy hour or exceptional food, from crispy chicken thighs to 16-oz NY strip, head to Rooster & The Till. For amazing pub selections, Datz Restaurant is a go-to spot, with an array of beers and drafts on tap alongside a menu of delectable soups, salads, burgers, and shareables.
 
Coffee lovers will feel at home at Buddy Brew Coffee and Kahwa Cofee, while Pane Rustica Restaurant is a great spot for baked goods and specialty bread. Finally, head to Dairy Joy to find an old-fashioned ice cream shop where the flavors will amaze you. 
 

Things to Do

 
Downtown South Tampa is home to the South Tampa Riverwalk, a scenic boardwalk that runs alongside the Hillsborough River. Its beautiful scenery and refreshing ambiance are perfect for long, leisurely walks and invigorating exercise. There are many places to eat, drink, and shop along the Riverwalk, making it an excellent destination for a day trip or evening out on the town. Visit Armature Works and choose from a wide variety of options, including Hemingway's Cuban Cuisine and Astro Ice Cream, or stop by Sparkman Wharf for some trendy eateries and great views. For a family-fun outing, head to The Florida Aquarium
 
Set a course for the Gasparilla Pirate Fest and be prepared for great fun and pirate-themed activities, like an exciting parade of pirates and ships. Located in the heart of downtown South Tampa, the South Tampa Bay History Center is a museum dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of the greater South Tampa Bay area. You can learn about and enjoy displays of history and contemporary culture here. The Glazer Children's Museum is a great place to spend time with family. There is a theater, an art studio, and a water play area among the museum's three floors of exhibits for kids to enjoy.
